Charles J. Fillmore is the father of Frame Semantics, Construction Grammar and FrameNet. In April 2013, the Council of the Faculty of Letters of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora unanimously decided to name the FrameNet Brasil Office as the Charles J. Fillmore Room, in honour of "our fearless leader". Three years later, in April 2016, Lilly Wong Fillmore and the FrameNet team at the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley, decided to donate the books that once belonged to Prof. Fillmore to the Federal University of Juiz de Fora.

Today, the Fillmore Collection is fully incorporated to the Library of the Faculty of Letters, so that students can make good use of the books once read by one of the greatest minds in Linguistics of all times.
